What a great day our 3rd Annual Walk of Ages turned out to be—and it’s all because of you.

With DJ Alibaba spinning tunes and 170 walkers coming together, we raised just over $35,000 cash & in-kind to support vulnerable seniors in our community. That means more support, more stability, and more seniors who won’t have to face a housing crisis alone, thanks to you.

To everyone who walked, volunteered, sponsored or provided prizes—thank you. Your generosity and compassion are helping bring attention to the often hidden issue of senior homelessness and moving us closer to a future where every older adult has a safe, secure place to call home.

We were honoured to be joined by so many dedicated community leaders, including Jake Sawatzky, MP (Burnaby-New Westminster-Maillardville), Jennifer Whiteside, MLA (New Westminster-Coquitlam), Raj Chouhan, MLA and Speaker of the BC Legislature, Mayor Patrick Johnstone, BC Seniors Advocate Dan Levitt and former MP Peter Julian. Your presence and words of support meant so much.

We were also grateful for an $800,000 investment in SHINE BC from the BC Ministry of Health, with the announcement made by Jennifer Whiteside. This vital funding will help us continue supporting seniors across 12 communities throughout BC, and we are deeply appreciative for the continued support.
