With the success of SHINE, the Seniors Services Society of BC has embraced the various issues faced by older adults in BC. The United Nations/World Health Organization recently published a major advocacy brief recognizing the effects of social isolation and loneliness among older adults in line with their declared goal to address a Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030).
