Seniors Transportation Program

This program provides transportation for seniors residing in New Westminster.

Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers in the volunteers vehicles. This is an escorted door-to-door service available for medical and medically related appointments. There is a fee for this service:

• $8.00 return trip locally within New West
• $.50 per kilometer to/from New West to adjacent or neighbouring communities
• Client is responsible for the additional cost of parking

Are you a good driver? Do you have spare time? Would you like to make a difference?  This is a very busy program and we are constantly in need of additional drivers.

This program was developed in response to a recognized need for better transport for seniors. For many, public transit, even Handydart, is not an option and taxi service is not affordable. Friends or family are often not able to provide transport.
