Better at Home is a United Way managed program, funded by the Government of British Columbia and provided by local non-profit agencies to help seniors over the age of 60+ to live longer and healthier independent lives by offering non-medical services. The United Way of the Lower Mainland will expand the Better at Home program in up to 68 communities across the province so seniors can continue to live independently within their own homes.
Seniors Services Society is one of the Better at Home communities offering these non-medical services to New Westminster seniors (60+). The program started in April 2013. Seniors Services Society is providing, in addition to our already existing services:
medical transportation program
light housekeeping (please note that this program is full until further notice)
Better at Home is funded by the Government of B.C. and managed by the United Way
