The society is dependent on the dedicated service of the board of directors, its committee members and volunteers. Seniors Services Society volunteers are highly valued and respected. They are given an opportunity to contribute in a meaningful way to their community and meet new and interesting people. They also have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and learn about older adults housing and services. All our volunteers attend an Orientation Session, receive training and have a job description and ongoing support. Our volunteers are required to complete a criminal record check.
The Society is a member of Community Volunteer Connections, Go Volunteer and VolWeb also an associate member of Volunteer B.C. Staff regularly attend workshops sponsored by this organization to keep up to date with issues related to volunteerism.

Volunteer with our Meals on Wheels program and make a difference to isolated seniors in New Westminster!

Every month our Meals on Wheels volunteers deliver almost 600 hot meals to seniors who are isolated, disabled, or recovering from illness or surgery in New Westminster. For some clients, the Meals on Wheels volunteers may be the only person they interact with all day. Join us and you too can put a smile on a seniors face!
We are seeking drivers and runners to start ASAP.
