Safeway grocery orders are taken weekly or every second week by volunteers who call older adults in the morning. The order takers have flyers for the store and let older adults know what is on sale that day. The volunteers then do the shopping the next day and the groceries are delivered by the store.

Effective June, 2011, there is a service fee of $3.50 in addition to the Safeway delivery charge of $3.50.
